On 19 February the Omar Khayyam cultural and literary association will host  the presentation of the book by M.L.Reisner and A.N. Ardashnikova — “The Persian literature of the 9th-18th centuries”.

This book is the result of long-term academic research conducted by the leading Russian philologists and Iranists, M.L.Reisner and A.N. Ardashnikova. The work’s materials are used for the Persian literature course in the Institute of Asian and African countries of the Lomonosov Moscow State University.

The Ibn Sina Foundation, the Sadra publishing house, the Omar Khayyam cultural and literary association, the Mir Biznes Bank company and the Marjani Foundation contributed in the publication of this monograph.

This book represents the first volume of the 3-volume edition “The Persian literature”. The work reveals the origins of the Iranian classical literature in the new Persian language. The book will be of great interest for experts in Oriental studies, university students and general readers interested in the classical Persian literature.

The presentation will take place on 19 February at 19:00 in the main book store of Moscow, Biblio-Globus.
