The 1st festival of the literature for children and young people took place on 15-19 May in Astrakhan. The “Izdatelskaya alleya” book fair occupied the central place in the  literary campus consisting of 26 sections. This is where the books prepared by the Sadra publishing house with the support of the Ibn Sina Foundation were exhibited. 

The booth of the Ibn Sina Foundation attracted the attention of curious readers and distinguished guests.

The booth was attended by the Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Astrakhan Ali Mohammadi, head of the Association of book publishers of Russia Konstantin Chechenev, acting Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Astrakhan region Galina Zoteyeva, head of the Centre of Iranian studies and the Persian language of the Department of Foreign Languages of the Astrakhan State University Alexander Mukhin, teacher of the Persian language of the Astrakhan State University Vladimir Kulakov.

The Ibn Sina Foundation’s booth was also attended by well-known Iranian writers, authors of books for children and young people, such as Mehdi Ghazali (the author of the Russian translation of “The stories of Karbala”, published in 2016), Mohammad Reza Yusefi (the author of the adapted “Shahnameh” stories), Asadulla Al-Wandi.

The representatives of the Ibn Sina Foundation conducted a meeting with Iranian writers in the Centre of Iranian studies and the Persian language of the Department of Foreign Languages of the Astrakhan State University with the participation of teachers and students of the Astrakhan State University. A presentation of some editions of the Sadra publishing house and the Ibn Sina Foundation also took place within the framework of the event. A number of books were donated to the university.

Hamid Hadavimogaddam, president of the Ibn Sina Foundation, visited the Central Municipal Library of Astrakhan and gifted some books. He also discussed the conditions for book distribution in Astrakhan with the library administration.

A certain number of books were given to the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Astrakhan.

The Ibn Sina Foundation participated in the 1st festival of the literature for children and young people at the invitation of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Consulate of Iran of Astrakhan.
