Jesus in the Qur’an and hadiths

Abstract

The book contains a review of Qur’anic ayahs and hadiths mentioning Jesus. The introduction presents different approaches to the treatment of this topic. The author attempts to find common points in the ideas of Messiah in Christianity and Islam. Such stance can lay the foundation for future peaceful interfaith dialogue and bring together the followers of two greatest world religions.

The main part features a unique selection of historical facts about the life of Jesus and the evidence of his mission based on the Qur’an and Shii tradition.

The book is replete with Islamic symbols and Arabic terms; in order to facilitate the reading, it contains a list of corresponding names in the Bible and the Qur’an.
