A meeting for developing a cooperation programme between the Islamic Culture Research Foundation and the Russian Peoples’ Friendship University took place on 25 October, Tuesday, at the Peoples’ Friendship University.
The meeting was attended by the representatives of the University (Pro-rector for Research, N.S. Kirabayev; professor of comparative political studies Yu.M. Pochta) and the representatives of the Islamic Culture Research Foundation (President H. Hadavimogaddam, Vice-President S.N. Tabai, deputy president and coordinator of educational programmes M. Bolkhasani, coordinator of academic projects A.A. Lukashev).
The negotiations resulted in defining the following dimensions of cooperation:
1) preparing and publishing works on the history of Islamic philosophy and contemporary Islam, as well as study materials for learning Persian and Arabic languages;
2) cooperation on student and teacher exchange projects between the Russian Peoples’ Friendship University and Iranian universities.
An agreement on cooperation is expected to be signed in the near future.
