The award ceremony for the winners of the 1st regional award “The book of the Year: Islam and Iran in Russian-speaking countries” will take place in the Margarita Rudomino All-Russia State Library for Foreign Literature on 1 December 2016 at 4 pm. The event will be attended by the officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Russian Federation, as well as academic and cultural workers of both countries.
35 books in Russian published in 2014–2015 will be subject to competitive selection. The expert judges under the direction of V.V. Naumkin and S.M. Prozorov will select the worthiest books in three nominations: compilation, translation and generation of academic and critical editions of the classical texts.
