The 31st Moscow International Book Fair took place in Moscow on 5-9 September, in pavilion 75 at VDNKh. The Islamic Culture Research Foundation and the Sadra publishing house were among its regular participants.
More than 250 books have been published so far with the support of the Foundation, including works related to Qur’anic studies, economics and law, philosophy and irfan, Islamic art, as well as fiction books and books for children.
During five days of the exhibition the booth of the Islamic Culture Research Foundation and the Sadra publishing house was visited by representative of some well-known publishing houses. During negotiations many of them expressed readiness for cooperation in the area of publishing and promoting the books.
On 5 September, on the first day of the exhibition, the Foundation’s booth welcomed the Iranian writer Majid Keisari, the author of the book “Three priests”. The presentation of the book was held, where the author was interviewed. All visitors could get a book signed by Majid Keisari.
The new books of the Foundation and its publishing house were very popular with the Russian-speaking readers at the Moscow International Book Fair 2018. Some works were presented at the exhibition for the first time, such as “The Qur’an in the culture of Muslim peoples” (Muhammad Ali at-Tashiri), “Tunisia. The route to the 21st century” (M.F. Vidyasova), “A man on the minbar. The image of a spiritual leader in Tatar and Turkish literature (end of 19th – first third of 20th century) (A.T. Sibgatullina), the collection of articles “Islamic economy” (edited by S.Yu. Babenkova), and the 8th volume of the “Shahnameh” edition for children, “The man of the world”.
