Ibn Sina foundation to present its activities

An important and interesting event — a presentation of the activities of the Ibn Sina Islamic Culture Research Foundation — is expected to happen soon. The presentation will take place within the framework of NON/FICTION, the biggest book event in Russia, on 30 November 2018 from 3pm to 3:50 pm in the Literary Café of the Central House of Artists (Krymsky val,10).

Hamid Hadavimogaddam, president of the Ibn Sina foundation, will speak about the Foundation’s activities and work results for 2018 and will present new academic works and book series. The event will also be attended by well-known scholars, experts and public figures, including:

1) Mehdi Sanai, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Russian Federation, author of the books “Islamic law and politics” (2014), “Relationships between Iran and Central Asia: trends and prospects” (2017),

2) A.V. Smirnov, director of the RAS Institute of Philosophy, RAS academician, PhD in Philosophy, author and editor of the books “The history of the Arab Muslim philosophy: anthology” (2013), “The history of the  Arab Muslim philosophy: textbook” (2013), “Scattered” and “organized”: strategies for organizing semantic space in the Arab Muslim culture” (2015), “Scattered” and “organized”: cognitive methods of the Arab Muslim culture” (2017), “The event and objects” (2017);

3) V.A. Kuznetsov, head of the Centre of Arab and Islamic Research of the Institute of Oriental Studies, candidate of historical sciences, editor of the book “Spaces and meanings. Memorable chapters of the Arab East history” (2018)”;

4) M.L.Reisner, professor of the Iranian philology department of the Institute  of Asian and African Studies of the Moscow State University, PhD in Philosophy, author of the book “The Persian literature of the 9th-16th centuries. The Persian literature of the pre-Mongol period (9th-beginning of 13th century). The period of canon formation: early classics” (vol.1) (2019)
