The Ibn Sina Islamic Culture Research Foundation participated in the 4th Forum of Iranists and organized a book exhibition within the framework of this event.
The Forum took place on Friday, 14 December, at the residency of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Russia. It was attended by Iranists and Persian teachers from Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Kazan, Dagestan, Astrakhan, Altai Republic, Vladikavkaz, Nizhny Novgorod, Saratov, Chelyabinsk. They delivered speeches, presented the results of their activities and shared their views on teaching Persian in Russia.
One of the speakers was Andrey Lukashev, vice-president for science department of the Ibn Sina Foundation. He spoke about the Foundation’s activities in the field of Iranian studies and development of Persian language and literature studies, and presented several relevant works of the Foundation. When speaking about the connection between Islamic and Iranian studies, he noted that many works on Islamic studies published by the Ibn Sina Foundation can relate to Iranian studies. Within this context, he mentioned not only philosophical texts, but also some literary works issued in Iran.
Alexandr Andryushkin, translator and partner of the Ibn Sina Foundation, also delivered a speech. He presented new works on the contemporary Persian literature, which have been published by the Sadra publishing house with the support of the Ibn Sina Foundation.
Majid Bolkhasani, coordinator for educational programmes, presented an informative report on the Ibn Sina Foundation’s educational activity and invited fellow Iranists for cooperation.
