The first issue of the “Islam in the modern world” magazine for the year 2019 contains the article of Asghari Yazdi Ali, PhD in Philosophy, associate professor, dean of the Cognition Theory and Islamic Thought Department of the Tehran University, which is entitled “Ibn Arabi’s and Imam Khomeini’s understanding of the divine revelation (wahy)” and was published with the support of the Ibn Sina Islamic Culture Research Foundation.
The research covers different meanings of the concept of the divine revelation (wahy) and contains a comparative analysis of this concept’s interpretation by two Muslim authors, Imam Khomeini (1902–1989) and Ibn Arabi (1165–1240). The former is one of the most well-known Muslim thinkers of the 20th-century Iran, the latter, who was an outstanding philosopher and a mystic, was the founder of the Sufi philosophy.
