The book of Amir Sadeghi Neshat — “The constitutional system of the Islamic Republic of Iran ” , — which was translated from Persian, is now available to the Russian readers. It is now a part of the interesting historical series of the Ibn Sina Foundation, “Islamic and pre-Islamic world: history and politics”.
The work contains a theoretical description of the political order of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The author presents a concise characteristics of the foundational principles of the new model of an Islamic state based on the “velayat-e fakih” principle. A. Sadeghi Neshat analyses the main components of Iran’s constitutional system and demonstrates that it represents a rule-of-law state with the separation of powers and all major institutions of representative and competitive democracy. At the same time, he emphasizes its unique character and difference from all other contemporary political systems.
The book was published with the support of the Ibn Sina Islamic Culture Research Foundation and the Cultural Representative Office under the embassy of Iran in Russia and was prepared for publication by the Sadra publishing house.
