Behnaz Zarabizade granted Eurasian International Prize

On 5 September the Iranian writer Behnaz Zarabizade was granted the Eurasian International prize. The awarding ceremony took place in the Grand Concert hall of the memorial museum of A.N.Skryabin. Andrey Lukashev, research director of the Ibn Sina Foundation, received the award on behalf of Ms. Zarabizade for the “Treasures of the foreign prose” nomination.

Over the last years the Sadra publishing house published two novels by Behnaz Zarabizade (“The Hero’s Wife” and “Golestan,11”) with the support of the Ibn Sina Foundation. Both books are bestsellers at the contemporary book market in Iran and have attracted the interest of Russian readers. 

This award has been given to the Foundation’s partners for the 6th time. The previous prize winners included A.V.Smirnov, I.R. Nasyrov, H. Ahmadzade, M.M.Al-Janabi and H. Ayatollahi.
