The first volume of the two-volume monograph, “Outline of the theory of the Persian language” written by the head of the Iranian Philology department of the Institute of Asian and African Studies of the Moscow State University has been published.
The work deals with the issues related to phonetics, morphology, colloquial register and orthography of the modern Persian language. The author compares the traditional descriptions of the Russian school and Iranian grammars and suggests new approaches for defining the basic units of speech and their POS classification. The monograph can be used as a study guide for the “Theory of the major Oriental language (Persian)” taught at the Institute of Asian and African Studies of the Moscow State University to the 3 and 4-year students or for similar subjects taught in other Russian universities.
