Ibn Sina Foundation to present its activities on February 27 in Biblio-Globus

The Ibn Sina Foundation invites everyone to discover its new editions and authors.

This year many wonderful books were added to the Foundation’s publications. Most of them are devoted to philosophical issues and Islamic mysticism. In particular, the 9th edition of the Ishraq yearbook on Islamic philosophy was published. The presentation visitors will also have the opportunity to meet the editor-in-chief of the Ishraq yearbook, Yanis Eshots (research worker of the Institute of Ismaili studies, London). The authors of the books “ The dialectics of the Abrahamic symbol”, The world of meaning in few words. Mahmud Shabistari’s philosophical views”, Sufism: development of the mystical language in an-Niffari’s works”, “Outlines of theory of the Persian language”  will also participate in the presentation.

The speakers include Andrey Smirnov (director of the RAS Institute of Philosophy), Vasiliy Kuznetsov (head of the Department of Arab and Oriental studies of the RAS Institute of Oriental Studies), as well as official representatives of Russia and Iran, including Igor Morozov (member of the Federation Council) and Kazem Jalali (Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Iran).

The Ibn Sina Foundation is one of the leading organizations publishing intellectual Islamic books. Over 12 years of its existence, the Foundation has published more than 300 books. It conducts dozens of academic and cultural events every year and provide support to the development of Islamic studies in Russia.

The presentation will take place at 18:00 in the Biblio-Globus bookshop located at  Myasnitskaya st., 6/3, bld. 1, hall 3 (Moscow).
