On December, 10, the award ceremony for the 21st Laurel branch Award took place in Moscow.
Emir Valinejad’s “Dot” movie, which was shot in 2019 with the support of the Ibn Sina Foundation, received a certificate as a nominee in the category “Best popular scientific educational film”. Over 600 Russian films shot in Russia, Belarus, Germany, Georgia, Lithuania, Poland, France, Ukraine and other countries were presented at the contest.
It should be noted that in September 2020 the “Dot” movie devoted to Iranian calligraphy received the 3rd prize in the category “Religion”, leaving behind 1500 competitors from 104 countries.
The Ibn Sina Foundation and Emir Valinejad are planning to prepare another movie devoted to the handwritten legacy of the Islamic culture.
