The Ibn Sina Foundation has decided to support the publication of Iranian manuscript album entitled “The Treasure Trove of Secrets: Selected Persian Manuscripts from the Collection of the Saint Petersburg State University”.
The album represents an illustrated edition in the Russian and Persian language. It contains a description of the collection of Persian manuscripts of St. Petersburg State University and reveals its most valuable manuscripts. The collection includes a number of unique manuscripts of the 13th-20th centuries, with many of them being of great scientific value. The book aims to introduce the reader to the collection by showing the most ancient, important and interesting manuscripts, and to present them in the context of the development of the writing and reading culture of Iranian and neighboring countries.
The album is expected to be published in June 2021.
