On March 10, 2022, Hamid Hadawi (President of the Ibn Sina Foundation) and Alexey Maslov (Director of the Institute of Asian and African Studies, Moscow State University) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for further cooperation related to the publication of the works of the Institute employees, as well as media and educational projects. The meeting was attended by M.L. Reisner, professor of the Iranian Philology Department. The Director of the Institute and the President of the Foundation congratulated Mrs Reisner on receiving an award for her two-volume textbook “Persian Literature of the 9th-18th centuries” co-authored with A.N. Ardashnikova.
The Foundation has already supported publication of some books written by the Institute’s staff, including a textbook of the Persian language by V.B. Ivanov, the works “Libya: Where is the Country of 140 Tribes going?”, “Egypt: from Nasser to the Present Day”, “Tunisia: The Route to the 21st Century”, ” Algeria at the crossing of three roads “ by M. F. Vidyasova (the last volume was published in partnership with V.V. Orlov), as well as N.A. Potapova’s study guides for translating economic texts from Persian.
