Ibn Sina Foundation donated books to the National Library of Kazakhstan

On March 16, on the eve of Nowruz a donation ceremony of books for the Iranian Book Corner took place at the National Library of Kazakhstan in Almaty.

The Ibn Sina foundation offered the library around 150 editions on Islamic culture and Iran. Andrey Lukashev (research director) also presented the Foundation’s new books in a video presentation.

The book corner was created by the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Almaty in 2005 in order to enhance the mutual understanding and strengthen the ties between the peoples of Kazakhstan and Iran, provide information about Iranian culture, history, economy and modern politics, promote the classic and modern literature of Iran, coordinate joint efforts aimed at developing cultural and economic relations between the two nations. The Iranian Book Corner currently has 603 books and 82 magazines. It features Iranian literature in all disciplines in English, Persian and Russian.
