On December 5, the management of the Ibn Sina Foundation, together with the director and staff of the Nur Microfilming Centre (India) met with Vadim Duda, director of the Russian State Library, and Alexander Soshnin, head of the Department of Preservation of Collections.
The meeting was attended by Hamid Khadavimogaddam, president of the Ibn Sina Foundation, its vice-president Tabai Nasser Seyed, and Andrey Lukashev, research director of the Foundation. The Nur Microfilming Centre was represented by its head Mahdi Hajepiri and its employee Fathollah Zogi.
Mr Hajepiri spoke about the foundation and the contribution of the Nur Microfilming Centre to the restoration of valuable documents. Mr Vadim Duda shared the results of the RSL’s work and its plans for future.
The guests had an opportunity to visit the scanning and storage department of the main collections and the microfilming laboratory. They also visited the department of restoration of library collection.
The representatives of the Russian State Library and the Nur Microfilming Centre reached some verbal agreements. The Ibn Sina Foundation expressed its readiness to represent the Centre’s interests in Russia.
