“The Dot” film will be screened at the 32nd Golden Knight International Film Forum, which will take place on May 24-31, 2023 in Grozny. The film, which directed by Emir Valinejad and produced with the support of the Ibn Sina foundation, is dedicated to the art of Islamic calligraphy. It will be presented in the short documentary category.
“The Dot” has already participated in many competitions. In 2020 it was nominated for the “Best Popular Scientific and Educational Film” category of the 21st Laurel Branch National Award and won third prize in the category “Religion” of the VIVA 2020 International Film Festival.
The Golden Knight International Film Forum is an annual festival featuring films on religious and moral aspects. It was founded by the Honoured Artist of Russia, Nikolay Burlyaev in 1992. The festival brings together the best films different countries under the motto “For ethic ideals and spiritualization of the human soul”. Over 30 years of its existence, more than 8000 participants from from 60 countries have taken part in the Golden Knight Forums, with 9 000 films having been screened.
