The Results of Ibn Sina Foundation’s Participation in Moscow International Book Fair 2023

Ibn Sina Foundation together with “Sadra” Publishing House took part in Moscow International Book Fair for the 14th time. 

This year the Fair took place from the 30thof August up to the 3rdof September in Expocentre in Moscow. The following books presented at the stand of Ibn Sina Foundation and “Sadra” Publishing House appeared to be the most popular: these are “Iran. From Cyrus the Great to Ayatollah Khomeini” by Alex B. Gromov; the first volume of “Essay on the Theory of Persian Language” by V.B. Ivanov; the monograph by Y.E. Fedorova “A knowledge Journey: Philosophical Reading of Farid al-Din Attar’s Poem ‘The Language of Birds”; the first volume of Joseph van Ess’s work “Theology and Society in the I-III Century by Hijrah. The History of Religious Thought in Early Islam” and children’s books of the series “Neyestan”.   

On the 2ndof September two presentations took place at the stand. The scientific director of the Ibn Sina Foundation spoke about new books published by the Foundation and “Sadra”. Senior researcher at the philosophy sector of the Islamic world of the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences Tatyana Korneeva presented her monograph called “Nasir Khosrow and his Philosophical Views” that was published at 2021.

Moscow International Book Fair is a major annual event in the area of book publishing. In 2023 more than 200 publishing houses from different regions of Russia and from abroad took part in this Fair. More than 200 presentations were arranged in the framework of the Fair at Expocentre.
