Ibn Sina Foundation Has Granted Books to the Orthodox Theological Seminary of Kazan

On the 20thof November the scientific director of Ibn Sina Foundation Andrei Lukashev granted around 200 books on Islamic studies to the Orthodox Theological Seminary of Kazan on behalf on the Foundation. The ceremony was opened by the General Consul of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kazan Davoud Mirzakhani. Andrei Lukashev spoke about Foundation’s activities that unite representatives of scientific and student communities who study different aspects of Islamic culture, science and philosophy.

The event took place in the framework of meeting with the Metropolian of Kazan and Tatarstan Kirill at the opening ceremony of the 22nd International Scientific and Theological Conference “Theology and Secular Sciences: Traditional and New Interrelations”.

The 22nd International Scientific and Theological Conference is dedicated to 300th anniversary of theological education in Kazan and is designed to attract attention of Kazan’s citizens to the works of outstanding graduates of Kazan Theological Academy and Seminary. More than 180 participants take part in this scientific forum, among them priests of Russian Orthodox Church, scientists, secular and religious university professors, museum staffs’ members, state and social public figures from different regions of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Iran and the United Emirates.
