A presentation of books published by OOO “Sadra” to students of the 1st and the 2nd course specializing on Iranian studies took place with the assistance of Ibn Sina Foundation at the Center of Iranian Language and Culture of the Moscow State Linguistic University on the 23rd of November.
Seyyid Nasser Tabaei, the vice-president of Ibn Sina Foundation and the general director of “Sadra” Publishing House, spoke about the Foundation’s activities, its cooperation with different universities and scientific centers that focus on Islamic and Oriental studies, books published by “Sadra” and especially about its books on Iranian studies. Seyyid Tabaei also presented a gift on the behalf of Ibn Sina Foundation and donated about 150 books to the library of the Center.
Afterwards the specialist on Iranian studies Daniil Ognev, the chief of the library of the Center of Oriental Literature of the Russian State Library, presented the series of parables’ collection “Persian Tales”. He read some interesting fragments of these books and underlined the importance of deep studying of Iranian culture for a translator in his/her professional activities and in establishment of mutual understanding between nations in their ordinary lives.
Alexander Polishuk, the candidate of historical sciences, the director of the Center of Iranian language and cultures of the Moscow State Linguistic University and the assistant professor of the department of Oriental languages, strongly advised young specialists on Iran to refer to valuable books of “Sadra” that now are available for reading and studying at the cabinet of the Center. A.I. Polishuk thanked S.N. Tabaei for his gifts to the library of the Center.
A nice buffet consisting of fruit juices and Iranian sweets took place after the event. During the buffet students enjoyed a possibility to ask interesting questions and get acquainted with the presented books.
