An event dedicated to the historiography of Iran took place on Tuesday, the 19th of December, at the Center of Oriental Literature of the Russian State Library.
Timur Kazbekovich Koraev, who is a candidate of historical sciences and assistant professor of the Institute of Asian and African studies of M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University, gave a lecture named “Narrations and Bodies of legends, Collections and Categories: Nine Centuries of Persian Historical Writings”. He spoke about the history of Persian language, its meaning in the past and its role in transmitting and preserving the history of Eurasia. The chief of the Center of Oriental Literature of the Russian State Library Daniil Ognev became a host of the event.
The event was arranged in the framework of collaboration between the Center of Oriental Literature of the Russian State Library, the Institute of civilizations and Ibn Sina Foundation.
