A presentation of the poem “Heroes of Stalingrad” by an Iranian poet of the 20th century Seyyed Mohammad Hossein Tabrizi (known as Shahriyar) took place recently at N.A. Dobrolyubov Nizhny Novgorod State Linguistic University.
The presentation was arranged in the framework of the anniversary of the end of the Stalingrad Battle and of the liberation of Leningrad. It was hosted by Eraj Begijonovich Boev, the Director of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Centre of Oriental Studies, the Associate Professor of the Department of International Journalism of the Institute of the Institute of Russian Language of the Nizhny Novgorod State Linguistic University.
Parisa Koshkan, a laboratory assistant researcher of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Centre of Oriental Studies, acquainted the attendants with Seyyed Mohammad Hossien Tabrizi’s life and artworks. The students of the Nizhny Novgorod State University recited some parts of the poem “Heroes of Stalingrad” in Russian and Persian languages.

The poem “Heroes of Stalingrad” was translated from Persian by I.V. Abramenko and V.S. Zharkova. It was edited with the assistance of Ibn Sina Foundation and in collaboration with the autonomous non-profit organization “The Cultural Centre of Khayyam” and was published by OOO “Sadra” in 2022 to the 77th Anniversary of Victory Day.
