On 29th of February while speaking at the Centre of Oriental Literature of the Russian State Library Lyubov Silantyeva delivered a lecture on “The Variety of Languages in Pamir”. The event was held with the assistance of Ibn Sina Foundation.
Pamir is famous for preservation of rare Iranian languages: Shughni, Roshanian, Wakhi (Wakhan) language, etc. In her speech Lyubov Silantyeva, the graduate student and the senior lecturer of the department of Iranian philology of the Institute of Asian and African Countries of M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University, spoke not only about the linguistic variety in Pamir, but also about the current state and the future of these languages.
