On the 13th of May Timur Kazbekovich Koraev, a Candidate of historical sciences and an Assistant Professor of the Institute of Asian and African Countries of M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University, delivered a lecture “Persian Language as a Language of World History: a Mongol Era (XIII-XV Centuries) at the Centre of Oriental Literature of the Russian State Library. Speaking in front of guests he covered such items as development of historical knowledge on the New Persian Language, the formation of the genre “Tarikh”, and the emergence of significant literature artworks during the era of Mongol rule at the territory of Iran and the Central Asia.
The event was organized and held in the framework of the cooperation between the Centre of Oriental Studies of the Russian State Library and Ibn Sina Foundation.
