The ceremony of transferring the copy took place on the 17th of May at the Institute of History and State Management of the Ufa University of Science and Technology during the presentation of a collective monograph “Sheikh Zaynullah Rasulev and Sufi Culture of Eurasian Peoples” where the president of the Foundation was invited as a honorable guest.
After a speech by Iskander Rasulevich Saidbattalov, a leading research scholar of the Institute of History and State Management of the Ufa University of Science and Technology, and after presentation of the monograph the president of Ibn Sina Foundation congratulated the authors with the publishing of the book. He also suggested Foundation’s assistance in studying the heritage of Sheikh Zaynullah Rasulev and Sufism in Bashkiria.
A presentation of books issued with the assistance of Ibn Sina Foundation took place in the framework of the event. Hamid Hadavimoghaddam granted the exact copy of the only preserved manuscript of “The Notes” by Ibn Fadlan that is one of the earliest evidences of spreading Islam among Bashkirs, as well as its translation into Persian. This copy of the manuscript is its only sample in Russia. The president of Ibn Sina Foundation also gave an issue of the most respected Iranian research on Ibn Fadlan as a gift to the University. At the end of the event a pre-premiere screening of Emir Valinejad’s film “The Written Heritage” created with the assistance of the Foundation also took place.
