A new issue of the Journal of Islamic Philosophy “Ishraq” published

A new issue of the second volume of the Journal of Islamic Philisophy “Ishraq” was published by “Sadra” with the assistance of Ibn Sina Foundation, the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Iranian Institute of Philosophy.

The issue includes three research articles: “Islam and Islamic Studies: a Theological and Methodologic Perspective” (S.A. Ghaffari Gharebagh); “Divine Love in the Mystical Poetry of Shams al-Din Zaki in Persian” (I.R. Saitbattalov), “Nature, Society and God: a Religious and Philosophic concept of Kamal Yusuf al-Hajj” (E.A. Frolova). Two reviews were also published in the issue: “Falsafah and Evidentialism. A review of: Booth A. Analytic Islamic Philosophy. New York & London: Palgrave Macmillan, 2018. 222 p.” (K.V. Karpov), “Arabic Latin Issue. A review of: What Does it Mean to Think? Arab and Latin Answer / Translated from French by D. Shakhova. M.: Ad Marginem Press, 2024. 152 p.” (F.O. Nofal) and the original text “Druze Catechism” (a foreword, a critical text and commentaries by F.O. Nofal).

The Journal “Ishraq” has been published in a soft coverage twice a year as an official periodical since 2023. The editor-in-chief of the journal is an academician A.V. Smirnov (the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences), the commissioning editor is Vs. V. Zolotukhin (the National Research Institute “The High School of Economics”), deputy chief editors are A.A. Lukashev (the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences) and F.O. Nofal (the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences).
