The scientific director of Ibn Sina Foundation presented its Christian projects at Tavricheskaya Spiritual Seminary

On the 23rd of September 2024 Andrei Alexandeovich Lukashev, the scientific director of Ibn Sina Foundation, presented several projects of the Foundation related to the Islamic Christian Dialogue.

In his speech Andrei Alexandrovich pointed out that the first project dedicated to the Islamic interpretation of the personality of Jesus Christ was the book “Jesus in the Qur’an and hadiths”. A well-known American Muslim philosopher, a Doctor of philosophy Muhammad (Gary Karl) Legenhausen (born 1953, New York) took part in the preparation of this book. This work had been published in 2012, and after that the Foundation published many other books dedicated to Christianity. One of the most remarkable works among them is the translation of the novel by Michael Nuaimeh “The Last Day” prepared by Faris Nofal. The other reknown work entitled “The Comparison between the Muslim Teaching on Divine Names with its Christian Understanding” by Gordiy Sablukov is supposed to be issued in October 2024. This research work was prepared by a group of scholars from the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Ufa University of Science and Technology. The Foundation also published the course of lectures by F.O. Nofal “The History of the Islamic-Christian Dialogue” at its portal LectOrient. Ibn Sina Foundation is also planning some joint projects with Christian educational centres. At the end of the presentation Foundation’s scientific director gave to the Seminary about sixty books as a gift.
