Ibn Sina Foundation presented its art projects at the State Institute of Art Studies

On the 23 of October the scientific director of Ibn Sina Foundation Andrey Alexandrovich Lukashev presented Foundation’s projects dedicated to the Islamic art at the opening ceremony of the conference “The Contemporary Oriental Art: Reasons for Reflection” that took place at the State Institute of Art Studies of the Russian Ministry of Culture.

A.A. Lukashev transferred the greetings by the President of Ibn Sina Foundation. He talked about the history of Foundation’s work in the area of the Oriental culture and granted some books issued by the Foundation to the Department of Asian and African Art. He also spoke on exhibitions, educational and media project initiated by the Foundation, this inviting colleagues to cooperation.

The V International Scientific Conferece “The Contemporary Oriental Art: Reasons for Reflection” took place from the 23 to the 26 of October at the State Institute of Art Studies in Moscow. Specialists in the area of the East studying the Oriental Art from the 1920-s up till nowadays (art critics, culturologists, theatre critics, music critics, philosophers and sociologists) gathered at the conference.
