The scientific director of Ibn Sina Foundation A.A. Lukashev presented Quranic projects of the Foundation at the conference «Islamic Studies Heritage of the Kazan Spiritual Seminary». He greeted the participants on behalf of Foundation’s leadership and spoke on the Quran as a basis of the Islamic culture. Ibn Sina Foundation’s translation of the Qur’an went through 9 editions in 7 formats, totaling 18 thousand copies. The Foundation also issued 12 volume of commentaries to the Quran. For many years the Foundation has been published a special book series – namely, «The Quranic Series». It also plans to create a website dedicated to the Quran as well as G.S. Sablukov’s translation of the Quran provided by his own commentaries.
The conference was held in the framework of events dedicated to the outstanding orientalist and professor Gordy Semenovich Sablukov (1803-1880) in light of the 175th anniversary of the start of his activities at the Kazan Spiritual Academy.
