The third volume of the three volume Large Persian Russian Dictionary compelled by V.B. Ivanov and edited by E.L. Gladkova was issued recently.
The new edition contains 27 500 words starting with eleven letters of the Persian alphabet: from غ to ی, as well as 23 500 expressions. The third volume is the continuation of the first volume issued by the publishing house «Nauka» («Science») in 2020 and the second volume issued by in Sina Foundation; these volumes contain more than 50 000 words and 40 000 expressions from the beginning of the alphabet up to the letter ع
The Large Persian Russian Dictionary reflects significant changes in the Persian language during the last 50 years. It includes new words related to informatics, military and space area, economics, art and the corresponding titles in these spheres in the contemporary Persian language and its phraseology.
The third volume of the dictionary was published by Ibn Sina Foundation with the financial assistance of «Russkiy Mir» («The Russian World») Foundation. The issue of the book is dedicated to the 270th anniversary of M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University.
