Ibn Sina Foundation held the first day of its event programme in Makhachkala

On March 18, 2025 Ibn Sina Foundation held the first day of the three days programme of events dedicated to Muslim written heritage in Makhachkala.

On this day the ceremony of signing the agreement between Ibn Sina Foundation and the Dagestan Federal Research Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences took place.

During the programme the scientific director of the Foundation Andrey Alexandrovich Lukashev held a presentation of Foundation’s projects. The president of Ibn Sina Foundation Hamid Hadavimoghaddam gave some books issued with the assistance of Foundation as a gift to the Institute of History, Archeology and Ethnography of the Dagestan Federal Research Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

The main event of the first day of the programme was the presentation of the newly published book «Dagestan Arabic – speaking epistolary sources and documents of the late XVIII – early XX Centuries» by Z.A. Magomedova who is a candidate of historical sciences and a research scholar of the Department of Oriental Studies of the Institute of History, Archeology and Ethnography of the Dagestan Federal Research Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences. This book became a joint project of Ibn Sina Foundation and the Institute of History, Archeology and Ethnography of the Dagestan Federal Research Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences

The event was held from March 18 to 20, 2025, by the following organizers: Ibn Sina Foundation,  the Institute of History, Archeology and Ethnography of the Dagestan Federal Research Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Centre of Iranian Studies of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the Dagestan State University .
