On March 15, 2025 “Sadra” Publishing House held the children’s holiday dedicated to the Iranian New Year (Navruz) at the Russian State Children’s Library in the framework of the project “Discovering Countries”.
The event was held by Daria Bokhan who spoke on the history of this ancient holiday and how it is celebrated in Iran nowadays. She also acquainted children with Iranian fairy tales accompanied with playing on santur performed by Amir Khatai.
A master class for children was also held at the holiday. During this master class children revived a goldfish which is among symbols of Navruz and the fairytale Tsar Jamshid, as well as beautified New Year eggs. The participants droved round dances, jumped over the fire and received predictions for the next year from the Persian poet Hafiz.
At the end of the event the representatives of “Sadra” presented some sweets and books to children.
