On March 26, 2025 Ibn Sina Foundation, the Indo-Iranian club of the Students’ Scientific Society of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations and “Sadra” Publishing House held a programme of events for university teachers and students of this Institute. The programme was dedicated to “The Week of Iran” and the holiday of Navruz.
The event was opened by the scientific director of Ibn Sina Foundation Andrey Lukashev. He passed greetings on behalf of the president of Ibn Sina Foundation Hamid Hadavimoghaddam.
After that the head of the LectOrient project Tatiana Korneeva presented the activities of Ibn Sina Foundation focusing on the development of the online project LectOrient. Particularly she welcomed the auditory to get acquainted with the new lecture on Navruz by the Iranologist and Chief Librarian of the Centre of Oriental Literature of the Russian State Library Daniil Ognev.
During the programme Ibn Sina Foundation also held an exhibition of physical copies of Persian manuscripts. Galina Lasikova who is an art historian and the curator of Marjani Foundation collection delivered a lecture dedicated to Islamic manuscripts. She paid a special attention to the manuscript of “Hamse” by Nizami.
“Sadra” Publishing House held its book exhibition on Iranian studies and presented some gifts to university teachers of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations.
At the end of the programme its guests watched the documentary “Wrirtten Heritage” dedicated to the art and philosophy of manuscript creation. It was filmed with the assistance of Ibn Sina Foundation in 2024.
