Abstract
The book of the Iranian researcher Mohsen Al-Wiri based on extensive historiography and detailed analysis of factual evidence reveals the Eastern — more precisely, Islamic — view on Western Islamic studies, Oriental studies and Oriental research. The analysis is based on the contrast of Western and Eastern approaches to studying Islam, as well as secular (Oriental and Islamic studies) and religious sciences.
The book is meant for undergraduate students studying theology, as well as for all interested readers.
