Results of Sadra’s participation in “Non/fictio№ Spring”

On April 6-9, 2023, the International Intellectual Literature Fair, Non/fictio№ Spring took place at Gostiny Dvor in Moscow, where the Sadra publishing house presented its books with the support of the Ibn Sina foundation.

The following books turned out to be the most popular with the readers: “Iran. From Cyrus the Great to Ayatollah Khomeini” by A. B. Gromov, “Persian Language Textbook (1st year)” by V.B. Ivanov and books from the “The Islamic and Pre-Islamic World: History and Politics” series (in particular, works by M.F. Vidyasova, such as”Algeria at a Crossing of Three Roads”, “Egypt. From Nasser to the Present Day”, “Tunisia. The Route to the 21st Century”).

Two books published by Sadra were included in the top list of non/fictio№ Spring, namely “Essays on the History of Zaydite Thought in the 7th-11th Centuries” by F.O. Nofal and “The Stories of the Righteous” by Morteza Motahhari.

On April 7, several presentations took place at the booth of the Sadra publishing house:

1) Presentation of the monograph “Essays on the History of Zaidi Thought in the 7th-11th Centuries” by Faris Nofal (Department of Philosophy of Islamic World, Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences)

2) Presentation of the collection of articles “History and Anthropology of Music of the Muslim World: Regional Traditions” by Tamila Jani-zade (associate professor at the Department of Music History of the Gnesins’ Russian Academy of Music)

3) Presentation of the first issue of the “Ishrak” journal on Islamic philosophy by Andrey Lukashev (senior researcher of the Department of Philosophy of Islamic World, Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences)

At the end of the fair the Sadra publishing house donated children’s  books and academic works to the International Public Charity Fund “Mama” and to the RE:BOOK organisation, which distributes books to rural libraries in Russia.
