The Journal of Islamic Philosophy “Ishraq”

The journal of Islamic philosophy is a joint project of Ibn Sina Foundation, the Institute of Philosophy and the Iranian Institute of Philosophy established in 2023. This project is different from the ten volume annual “Ishraq” that had been published by the late research scholar in the area of Islamic studies Yanis Eshots who passed away in 2021: its cover is soft and it is a periodical.

The message of the project is to present the best achievements of Islamic studies in Russia and abroad. Besides scientific articles, the editorial staff published discussions, translations, reviews of important scientific conferences and new important works in the area of Islamic studies.

The editor-in-chief is an academician Andrey Vadimovich Smirnov (the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences), the publishing editor is Vs.V. Zolitukhin (the National Research University “The High School of Economics”), deputies editor-in-chief are A.A. Lukashev (the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences) and F.O. Nofal   (the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences).

By the current moment three issues of the journal have been published: “Ishraq. The Journal of Islamic Philosophy 2023. V.I № 1”, “Ishraq. The Journal of Islamic Philosophy V.I № 2” and “Ishraq. The Journal of Islamic Philosophy V.II № 1”.

The second issue of the second volume of the journal is going to be published by the end of 2024.
